Long time no post! here is what the girls are doing

Kimber turned one. She can say a lot of animal sounds, cheese, get down, go and mama and dada. She started crawling around ten months. She can go up and down the stairs and pull herself up on the furniture. It was a surprise to see she can get in the recliner by herself. She had her birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and was not a fan of the party or the people there, but she loved Chuck E Cheese himself. Kimber likes to eat nearly any kind of food. She has two teeth on the top and one poking through on the bottom.  Kimber also follows along with the actions of  " If you're happy and you know it" and will clap her hands and shout hurray!  She also likes to rawr like a dinosaur.

Madison has turned two. She is starting to recognize letters. This weekend we went to Hobby Lobby and she correctly identified all of the letters on the sign in the front. She also knows heart, star and circle. She knows the color blue. She likes to say " come and play honey!"  " what you doing honey?" " chocolate in or chocolate cheese" for chocolate milk. She has started dance class and most of the time enjoys it. She follows along really well. She loves her cousin Ary.

Kimber is now 6 months old. She can sit up with some support and is eating baby food. She likes Apples, carrots, squash and sweet potatoes. She is reaching for toys and other objects on the ground. If she gets paper, Madison will take it away from her. Kimber loves bath time and to splash around. She took her first bath with sister today.

I think it will be soon that Kimber starts to roll over. She is not a fan of tummy time.

Kimber wakes up happy cooing every morning in her crib. She is an extremely happy baby. She currently weighs close to 24 pounds of cuddly love.  She loves to give hugs and is very ticklish.

We've had a very scary weekend dealing with some newly found health conditions that she has on her brain, but she is doing well. We had a trip up to Primary Childrens hospital to figure out what was going on.

Kimber has the sweetest personality. This baby is nearly always happy. She's such a sweet girl. Very little of her pretty red hair has rubbed off. People always are complimenting the pretty color and saying they don't know where you could have possibly come from.

She is putting toys in her mouth now, and will find random pieces of clothing or blankets and put those in her mouth as well.

Madison is 17 months old. She weighs 25 pounds. Her pretty brown hair is long enough to be in a bob.

Madison has her favorite blanket still, and must have her favorite stuffed cat with her most of the time.

Madison can say " cool" now, and refers to many objects as such. We went to Petsmart and all of the animals were cool to her.  She can also say grandma, dada, elmo, show, cup. She makes animals sounds for the duck, frog, cat, turkey, bee, and horse. Her favorite books are animal sounds, the happy man and his dump truck, and thomas the train. She calls her sister " key" or " kiki". We have started calling Kimber Kiki as well.

Maddie does an adorable dance where she kicks out one leg and spins in a circle. She loves to dance to songs mom and dad make up.

She can lie down in the bathtub by herself.

She loves Elmo still. All day long she says " elmo show, elmo show". Sometimes she gets very upset when we don't allow her to watch a ton of tv.

In her Mister Brown can Moo book, she makes the sound of a Goldfish kiss. " pip"

Madison recently stayed with Grandma Roxie while we were attending to Kimber's medical needs. When I went to pick her up, Madison wanted nothing to do with me. The moment she saw me, she said " Key? Key?" She was very worried about her sister.  These sisters love each other very much.

Madison appears to have a good majority of her teeth. She loves to steal mom's toothbrush to brush her teeth.

Kimber is now 4 months old. She blows bubbles with her mouth, and is always such a happy baby. She jabbers a lot.She loves to watch her sister. She is getting very wiggly when you hold her. She is great to sleep most of the night most of the time. She is 27 inches long and 19 pounds 14 oz. She is kicking all of the time. She has always loved her baths, and is almost too big for the baby tub. She's a healthy growing girl. She is such a great contribution to our little family!

Madison can say ball, cat, cuP ( with a hard emphasis on the P), fish (which she says shy-ish), mama, dada, grandpa ( who really is grandMA), Go,Hi, bye, and when she blows kisses she says "buh!".  She can tell us what the frog says  ( croak croak) and what the Owl says ( whoooo) because of her favorite book, Animal sounds.

She is climbing on everything. Often times I find her on top of the kitchen table. She loves bathtime, and she'll lay down in the tub by herself. Her favorite foods are cheese, pasta, clemintine oranges, ANY type of candy, and chinese noodles. She gives the best hugs, and often will give them to Kimber. She no longer will hit Kimber, in fact she is very conscious of her. However, sharing toys with her is not an option.  She loves to help unload the dishwasher and to help mom do the laundry. She's recently started getting into mom's makeup.

Reading books is Maddie's favorite thing to do. She will sign "again"when her book is over.  Kimber also listens very well to the books. I hope this instills a lifelong love of reading in these girls.

I cannot express what a blessing it is to have you two. Often times, when the world is a cruel and scary place, even for your Mom, I can look at you two and know how loved I am. I hope I can always express how much I love you two. I know I will make mistakes, and I already have made some. You are such tiny sweet spirits. I hope that I can always be close with you girls and you will know how much your Dad and I love you. I hope that as you grow older that we can always understand each other and never be at odds. I am now recognizing the sacrifices my parents went through to raise your Uncle Jesse and I. I hope that I have learned from the good and the bad from them, and I can be a great mom to you both. I am also understanding perhaps why it took so long for you to come to me and your Dad. We need you now and I think I appreciate you now at this time in my life then I would have earlier, oddly.I have overcome much in my life, and I'm still working on myself. I hope I can teach you what I know and you can learn from my experiences. I love you girls so much.
